Jamaican Parliament approves 'motion 6' JamaicaOn 27 January 2015, the Jamaican Parliament approved 'motion 6' that authorizes the Jamaican Government 'to receive from the British Government an equal compensation to that one paid to the owners of slaves in 1834' and invites 'the other countries of CARICOM to take similar decisions'.
