Centre for Reparation Research

On 10 October 2017, the Centre of Reparation Research is launched at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies.The Centre is the first of its kind and has been established to 'lead the implementation of CARICOM’s Reparatory Justice Programme, which broadly seeks to foster public awareness around the lasting and adverse consequences of European invasion of indigenous peoples’ lands, African enslavement and colonialism in the Caribbean'. The launch is followed by a one-day symposium and a press conference.
