Truth and Reconciliation Commission of South African Report

On 21 March 2003, the final report for the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission is submitted, including a report written by the Reparation & Rehabilitation Committee that lists a range of possible reparative measures. On 15 April 2003, President Mbeki announces that families of apartheid victims will receive a one-time payment of approximately $3,900.
