On 6 October 2004, the Global Afrikan Congress (GAC) ratify their Constitution outlining the future of the pan-Africanist movement and stating that one of their primary goals is 'to achieve reparations, which includes restitution, and repatriation for Afrikans and Afrikan descendants'.Importantly, the GAC is one of the organizations to have emerged from the conference held on 2 to 6 October 2002 in Barbados and is also directly linked to the African-African Descendants Caucus that formed in preparation for the United Nations World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance (UNWCAR).
