CARICOM Reparations Commission

On 10 March 2014, the CARICOM Reparations Commission (CRC) unveils a ten-point action plan outlining 'the path to reconciliation, truth, and justice for the victims of slavery and their descendants'.Included in the plan are calls for a formal apology, repatriation, development programmes, the creation of cultural institutions, investment in public health and education, the creation of an African knowledge programme, psychological rehabilitation, technology transfer and debt cancellation.
