Athol Williams is undertaking scholarly research into ethics-based arguments for identifying agents who bear responsibility to remedy injustices, including historical injustices and their current effects. His research investigates the responsibility borne by corporations to remedy injustices.

Reparations seeks to advance justice in society by remedying the deprivations caused by acts or programmes of injustice. This remedy should offer healing to victims and their descendants and enable and equip them to live with fair equality of opportunity, free of any structural barriers in pursuit of their life’s goals.
