2017
London, UK
On 21 October 2017, the International Network of Scholars and Activists for Afrikan Reparations (INOSAAR) is launched in Brixton. Attended by around sixty people, this unique event actively seeks to bring together the work of activists and scholars, and includes four workshops and two roundtables. The decision is taken that these workshops/roundtables will be transformed into standing committees to address related themes, including: activist and scholar collaboration; 'glocal' approaches to reparations; the role of the arts and humanities in reparations; the development of children's educational materials; youth and student intervention; and the state vs. pan-Afrikan reparatory justice.
