International Conference on Pan-African Reparations for Global Justice

From 21 July to 2 August 2006, the International Conference on Pan-African Reparations for Global Justice is held in Accra.The purpose of this conference is to assess the global Pan-African reparations movement ahead of the 50th anniversary of the 1957 Proclamation of the Independence of Ghana, and prepare for the upcoming commemoration of the bicentenary of the abolition of the Slave Trade Act of 1807 in the UK.
